Awaiting the weekend

Trissa and I need to get back on track here. It’s been a couple of weeks now since we had a full productive weekend working on the house. We took most of this last Labor Day weekend to spend time out of the city with Trissa’s brother and sister-in-law at their new cabin in Winthrop, WA. That was relaxing but towards the end of it I was getting anxious to build walls. Which is what I did for a couple hours on Monday, but not nearly enough to fulfill my appetite.

And of course, no work on the house means no posting on the house blog. Go figure.

Two weeks ago I was on a business trip and found some time on the plane to write some new software for the ProjectCam. The software takes all of the images taken during a project and stitches them together into a time-lapse movie. It has a few kinks in it yet, but I hope to post our first movie to the site soon.

This morning was the first day we programmed the radiant floor to come on and be warmed up by the time we awoke. It was, and this morning the cats refused to go outside – choosing instead to sprawl themselves out on the warm plywood.

That’s what’s nice about breaks- they can really recharge you and bring motivation- glad you fit a break in and that’s awesome about your radiant floors- sounds heavenly!

It’s good you guys took a break—it’s important. That’s so great the floors work the way you expected!
