Getting closer
Okay- we’re still quite aways off, but I can now picture what the kitchen will look like when we’re done with this project. (Or at least I now have a better picture in my mind!) After moving the sink and dishwasher and framing in the new nook window, I feel like we’ve made a bunch of progress. There’s still a ton to do, but it was another “HUGE” weekend for us. Framing is my favorite part of the project right now because you see changes so quickly. Here are a couple of before and after pictures. The after picture with the window is the wall where the sink and dishwasher used to be. We took out the old window, did some new framing and then framed in the space for our old nook window. I can’t wait! Here’s the wall before we tore out the window and did the framing:
Here’s the new wall where the sink and dishwasher were. The right part will be wall, but the middle part will be the nook windows.
And here are the sink and dishwasher in their new location:

I don’t know if that really shows where things are at. One of these days I’ll upload a drawing or paste some pictures together so it is easier to see the entire space.

I love the ivy view that you will have as you sip your coffee in the “new nook”. Meditative.
