Laundry room work

The rain moved us indoors yesterday so we couldn’t pull the baseboards outside for sanding and paint. So we turned our attention to the laundry room. The utility sink hasn’t been reinstalled since we had all the work done on the boiler. Nick spent most of the day cleaning up the wall where the sink goes. He moved the electrical outlet for the washer to the opposite side and re-routed the plumbing so it fit nicely in the wall. We’re out of practice with our soldering so a couple of the joints had to be re-done. By the end Nick was missing using Pex, but it is now all finished and ready for the next step.

Nick’s out of town this week, so next weekend we will hang the drywall, build a cabinet and reinstall the utility sink. Then we will have some shelves and a little more organization in the laundry room. That will be nice.

I am working on a laundry room project too! That’s nice that you have a utility sink in yours. Ours was obviously meant to be a bedroom before, but they moved the laundry into it to make the bathroom bigger. So, I am trying to make a craft room/laundry room. :)
