So long, neighbor. We will miss thee.
For once, it looks as if our neighbor is getting more done on his house than we are. His house is kinda like ours, in that since I moved in, both houses have been under various states of reconstruction. I find humor in the fact that the sides of our houses that face each other have been at least partially bare of siding for over a year now; ours covered with felt paper, and his totally exposed to the elements. But as of this week, he’s got a crew working over there, and one of the things they’ve done is to begin installing some very attractive siding.

The irony of all this is that my neighbor announced he’s planning on moving within the next month or two. I guess it’s hard to sell a house if there’s no siding.
In any event, it’s the weekend, and I’m raring to get some work done. Not that I’m excited to do more skim coating, but I really want to get that project wrapped up. Then I can move on to more exciting things, like refurbishing our windows…

Too bad your neighbor is moving! Both of our neighbors are renovating also. One side is converting from a two-unit back to a single family, and the other neighbor pretends to work on theirs (but doesn’t).
Anywhoo… I hope you get awesomely great new neighbors! :)

Nice new banner photo on your site, by the way. Is that your view? I love the Seattle area.

Thanks, Aaron! Yep, that’s the view from our bedroom window. I did crop out a few ugly parts ;)
