The Big Clean

Today I awoke late and didn’t feel great. Too much wine last night, perhaps. Once I had a caraffe of coffee I was feeling better, but a bit confused about what project to undertake. After a while of staring at our list of projects and our messy jobsite, I realized that not much that I wanted to do could really be done until we move the sink acroos the room. Unfortunately I don’t have the tools I need to do that (I need a PEX crimper, which is $300). So instead, Trissa and decided to clean the place and get ready for the sink project next weekend.

The cleaning took a couple of hours but the result is astounding. Piles of building materials and tools are now organized, trash is taken out, and we have some big open spaces again. Very cool.

I really wanted to get more framing done this weekend though. So I found a small project in the foyer, framing up the opposite side of what will be the passageway into the kitchen. Click the pic and check out my work:
