Up on the roof...
Nick dug out the ladder and tackled the garden we had growing in the gutters and the valleys on our roof. After he cleared a ton of moss, branches and small plants from the south side of the roof I brought out his climbing harness and rope so he could complete the task without any injuries. It took him all of the morning and most of the afternoon, but it is nice to have it cleaned off. I cleaned up the grass and sidewalks on three sides of the house, but have the steep side to go. That hill is covered in ivy and nobody looks at it, so I figured it could wait a bit more. I filled up our yard waste container and an extra yard waste bag. I’m hoping to mow the lawn tomorrow so we’ll have a big pickup for yard waste the next time they are here.
I think Nick’s going to be a bit sore from his roof-top adventure.
On another note they are framing in the first of the three skinny houses two lots down from us. This morning they were there framing in the third story. I hadn’t realized that they were going to be three stories high. I just keep thinking that they’ll look like dominoes in a row waiting for someone to push the first one so they all fall down. There aren’t a lot of windows framed in, most likely because their neighbors are about eight feet away from them. I’ll try and take some pictures tomorrow.
I hope everyone is having a productive weekend!
