We've got a ceiling

Thanks to the drywall lift that Marilu is lending us

We now have a ceiling in the living room and dining room. The lift works really well & the only thing that would make it better is if it could carry drywall up from the street. We hired some day labor to carry the drywall up, so Nick had enough energy to install some this weekend. Of course he wanted to have the entire room done, but things always take longer than you expect

We’ll continue to work on this and we just might meet our goal of having the drywall installed by the 4th of July. Then we will hire out the mudding and taping. Now we can start thinking about paint colors. Oh, and with every “DYI” project it is easy to justify a new tool because of all the money you save. To help save Nick’s neck and shoulder, we splurged and got the Bosch litheon pocket driver. It is very light and worked great with the drywall. Atticus will soon be big enough to help Nick.

It is good to see Atticus working hard…the ceilings look beautiful and I wish we had had one of those machines - ladders and arms don’t work nearly as well.

Nick is so hot when he lifts drywall. BTW…for a 2 month old the little one looks pretty big!
