Work hard so you can hardly work

Today we took care of a bunch of things we’ve been putting off. First off we cleaned the house, including the floors and re-arranging the living room furniture. We got our errands run, the lawn mowed, the washer and dryer were going non-stop and are still going. Nick tackled and ugly spot in the back yard and we gave some needed attention to our gas babecue. It’s needed a good cleaning and adjustments since the grease fire scare last year. Now that it’s grilling season, we finally cleaned it up and Nick took it apart so we could adjust the flames, etc.I gave the stove and cooktop a thorough cleaning and Nick installed holders for brooms, etc. in the pantry and a holder for shovels etc. in the shed.

All along, Atticus played and kept us entertained, as well as slowed us down a bit. In the end, we got a lot done and are now sitting down to a glass of wine and a flank steak grilled on the newly clean bbq.

So all this hard work so tomorrow I can sit back and spend Mothers’ Day playing with Atticus all day & possibly taking a nap when he does. Nick may spend a little time polishing the last two countertops so they can be installed.

Happy Mothers’ Day!
