Weekly Poll - May 22nd, 2005
No big surprises this week, at least from my point of view. Nearly 40% of us are living in houses that have recently had, or are pending, their 100-year birthday. 22% of us live in pre turn-of-the-century homes – wow! 22% are in homes built between 1920 and 1940, 11% between 1941 and 1960, 2% 1961 and 1980, and 4% 1981 and 2000. I’m a little surprised that there isn’t one new home in the bunch… Perhaps that person didn’t vote.
I’m trying something new for this week’s poll: a “Shopping Quiz”. Name the most expensive item in the list. For fun, see if you can put the list in price-order…
And, don’t forget to send me some poll questions – this morning it was a little difficult for me to come up with one!

Just a suggestion for next weeks poll: How many hours a week do you spend working on your home renovation. :)

There was a post at the Old House Web Forum a few weeks ago that asked about what people do for a living. It was interesting that by far most were in the IT (Info Tech) field. Of course, it could be that it’s just a bunch of Tech Heads that go on-line. Not very scientific, but still fun. Maybe a pole on What Our Day Jobs Are. IT – Financial – Sales – Health Care – Retail – Other. You could add some other categories.

I am no good at this week’s poll. :) I like Greg’s idea of a job poll. Don’t forget the category “media/publishing”!
